Love the fact that it's a quick walk to both the Bayswater AND Queensway Tube stations, which makes it really easy to get back and forth around town. As a single, female traveler, I feel safe walking back to the hotel from the Tube station in the evenings. Bayswater is a really multi-ethnic, family oriented neighborhood with great restaurants.

District Court Judge Henry Wingate were correct to remove Randolph from the lawsuit being appealed and a separate federal one on the basis of judicial immunity, which is the idea that judges can’t be sued for doing their jobs. Many Jackson elected officials say a major problem with the Senate proposal is that it gives the final say over police jurisdiction to the state and not the city. A white supermajority of the Mississippi House voted after an intense, four-plus hour debate to create a separate court system and an expanded police force within the city of Jackson — the Blackest city in America — that would be appointed completely by white state officials. Working with Jacqueline Black and Michelle Porreca, Williams brought in a Chinoiserie wall covering to give the space a garden-like atmosphere.

The Sisters of Saint Joseph of Carondolet founded Mount Saint Mary's in 1925, establishing the first campus at Slauson Boulevard and Crenshaw Boulevard. Another campus, the Chalon Campus, was created in the Santa Monica Mountains in 1928, and the order took over the former Edward Laurence Doheny, Sr., House #1 (and the Oliver Posey House #1 in Chester Place) as another location in 1962. The Sisters of Saint Joseph of Carondelet later repurposed the Stimson Residence, transforming it into a convent.

“It was an interesting way to design a house – to come in at the top and work your way down,” says architect Frank Harmon. Faced with harsh criticism from a nostalgic public, including Douglas Fairbanks, Jr., Zadora defended her family's actions, stating that the house was allegedly in a poor state of repair and was infested by termites. Times, Fairbanks was quoted as saying, "I regret it very much. I wonder, if they were going to demolish it, why they bought it in the first place." The project is supported by contributions from a collaboration of photographers with varying levels of skills and experience, but a common interest in the place we all call home - Southern California. After a stint during World War II as a U.S.C. frat house, the Estelle Doheny, widow of oil tycoon Edward Doheny, bought the home because the noise caused by the frat boys was disturbing the peace around her home next door.

During Stimson's lifetime, the house survived a dynamite attack by a blackmailer in 1896. The bedrooms were designed small and cabin-like, intimate for their private function. The layers of the floors are read on the exterior through these window mullions, and the interior public and private zones can also be determined depending on the number and sizes of the windows. They knew about the basics of architecture and modernism, but they were only vaguely aware of Richard Meier. At 3,200 square feet, it was set among the trees on the steep side of a cliff, commanding views over a turquoise lake and 970 feet of private beach. The 1973 home had issues, but McCarthy, an engineer by training, cataloged them all and used the information to negotiate a lower price.

Meier reviewed it, thought about it for a time, then dispatched Tod Williams, his employee and former student at the Princeton University School of Architecture, to Michigan. In 1971, Jim and Jean Douglas of Grand Rapids, Michigan, reached out to modernist architect Richard Meier in New York. They’d read about his Smith House in Connecticut, after seeing it on the cover of Architectural Record magazine in 1968.
